Hi, I’m Laura,Maybe you’re overwhelmed, burnt out, struggling with anxiety or self-doubt, or simply exhausted from trying to fit into a world that wasn’t built with you in mind. You might have spent years masking, overthinking, people-pleasing or trying to work out why things that seem easy for other people can feel so difficult for you.You may have only recently started to understand yourself as neurodivergent, or perhaps you’ve known for years but are still figuring out what that means for you. You might be questioning whether you are autistic, ADHD, AuDHD or otherwise neurodivergent. You don’t need to have a diagnosis or have everything figured out before coming to therapy.I’m Laura, a BACP registered counsellor and a neurodivergent therapist. I understand how hard it can be to feel like you don’t quite fit, because I’ve been there too.My approach is neurodivergent-affirming, LGBTQ+ affirming and trauma-informed. I don’t see neurodivergence as something that needs to be fixed. Instead, I want to help you understand yourself and your experiences with more compassion, including the ways you’ve had to adapt, mask or hide parts of yourself to navigate the world.Therapy with me is warm, collaborative and tailored to you. We might explore anxiety and overwhelm, masking and burnout, self-worth, relationships, identity, boundaries or difficult experiences from your past. We can also think about your nervous system and explore ways to understand and regulate it that work for you. Most importantly, you don’t have to perform or pretend in therapy. You can bring the parts of yourself that you’ve learned to hide, and we can work together to make sense of what you need rather than what you think you should need.My hope is that, over time, you can understand yourself with more compassion, trust your own experience, heal from the past and feel more at home in yourself. You can start exactly where you are.

I am an HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist and founder of Authentic Work, a specialist executive-functioning coaching service for neurodivergent adults. I work with autistic adults, adults with ADHD and AuDHD adults, whether formally diagnosed, awaiting assessment or self-identifying as neurodivergent. I also welcome neurotypical adults looking for a practical, neuroaffirming approach.I support people who are finding the demands of work, self-employment, business or study difficult to manage. This might include getting started, prioritising, managing time and deadlines, keeping on top of administration, organising information, maintaining focus, switching between tasks, remembering what needs to be done, or finding systems that are sustainable over time.My approach is practical, collaborative and tailored to the individual. We look at a specific difficulty, understand what may be contributing to it, and develop strategies, systems, supports or adjustments that fit how you think, work and process information. Strategies are tried in real life, reviewed and adapted rather than assuming there is one ‘right’ way to work.Authentic Work provides executive-functioning coaching rather than psychological therapy or diagnostic assessment. Sessions are offered remotely by video call or telephone to adults in the UK.

I specialise in working with late recognised neurodivergence, chronic illness, childhood trauma, and burnout but also enjoy working with neurodivergent clients on many other issues they may be having. I offer a blended approach of talk therapy, person centred therapy, compassion focused techniques, focussing, creative or expressive therapies as well as inner child and family systems therapy. We are all individual so why provide only one way of working?

Before qualifying as a counsellor, I spent over a decade supporting people through complex life challenges in family support and community services. I also have lived experience of burnout and neurodivergence. Together, these experiences continue to shape my compassionate, trauma-informed approach today.I work in a person centred way which is non-directive and gives space for you to find what works best for you. I am an integrative counsellor which means I have a range of ways of working and we collaborate to find what is most supportive to you. If you’re neurodivergent, you may be used to feeling misunderstood or expected to function in ways that do not come naturally to you.You might notice cycles of burnout, masking, people-pleasing or overwhelm that are difficult to break. Social situations may leave you drained, your mind may feel crowded with competing demands, or hyperfocus may make it hard to stop and shift to what comes next. These patterns are not signs that you are failing. I understand this experience personally and through my professional work and can help you find ways of working with your brain, communicating your needs and protecting your energy.Although I work with a wide range of people I have a particular interest in supporting spiritually minded, neurodivergent women who are experiencing burnout and/or anxiety.

Little Psyches works exclusively with children and young people, and our approach starts from a simple principle: understanding a child’s neurodivergence matters more than ticking boxes toward a label. We carry out ADHD, autism and wider neurodevelopmental and mental health assessments with that in mind, looking at the whole child rather than a checklist of symptoms. Our clinical team brings genuine, hands-on NHS CAMHS experience to every assessment, and because we work entirely online, we see children and families right across the country rather than being limited to one area. We take the time to understand each child properly, which means parents leave with answers they trust and a clear sense of what happens next, whether that’s a formal diagnosis, a treatment plan, or simply reassurance.Assessments are conducted over secure video call, meaning families anywhere in the country can access us without travel, long waits, or unfamiliar clinical settings for their child. We’re CQC registered and typically see families within 1 to 2 weeks of first getting in touch.
