Hi, I’m Laura,Maybe you’re overwhelmed, burnt out, struggling with anxiety or self-doubt, or simply exhausted from trying to fit into a world that wasn’t built with you in mind. You might have spent years masking, overthinking, people-pleasing or trying to work out why things that seem easy for other people can feel so difficult for you.You may have only recently started to understand yourself as neurodivergent, or perhaps you’ve known for years but are still figuring out what that means for you. You might be questioning whether you are autistic, ADHD, AuDHD or otherwise neurodivergent. You don’t need to have a diagnosis or have everything figured out before coming to therapy.I’m Laura, a BACP registered counsellor and a neurodivergent therapist. I understand how hard it can be to feel like you don’t quite fit, because I’ve been there too.My approach is neurodivergent-affirming, LGBTQ+ affirming and trauma-informed. I don’t see neurodivergence as something that needs to be fixed. Instead, I want to help you understand yourself and your experiences with more compassion, including the ways you’ve had to adapt, mask or hide parts of yourself to navigate the world.Therapy with me is warm, collaborative and tailored to you. We might explore anxiety and overwhelm, masking and burnout, self-worth, relationships, identity, boundaries or difficult experiences from your past. We can also think about your nervous system and explore ways to understand and regulate it that work for you. Most importantly, you don’t have to perform or pretend in therapy. You can bring the parts of yourself that you’ve learned to hide, and we can work together to make sense of what you need rather than what you think you should need.My hope is that, over time, you can understand yourself with more compassion, trust your own experience, heal from the past and feel more at home in yourself. You can start exactly where you are.

I am an HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist and founder of Authentic Work, a specialist executive-functioning coaching service for neurodivergent adults. I work with autistic adults, adults with ADHD and AuDHD adults, whether formally diagnosed, awaiting assessment or self-identifying as neurodivergent. I also welcome neurotypical adults looking for a practical, neuroaffirming approach.I support people who are finding the demands of work, self-employment, business or study difficult to manage. This might include getting started, prioritising, managing time and deadlines, keeping on top of administration, organising information, maintaining focus, switching between tasks, remembering what needs to be done, or finding systems that are sustainable over time.My approach is practical, collaborative and tailored to the individual. We look at a specific difficulty, understand what may be contributing to it, and develop strategies, systems, supports or adjustments that fit how you think, work and process information. Strategies are tried in real life, reviewed and adapted rather than assuming there is one ‘right’ way to work.Authentic Work provides executive-functioning coaching rather than psychological therapy or diagnostic assessment. Sessions are offered remotely by video call or telephone to adults in the UK.

I’m a neurodivergent Occupational Therapist and ADHD Coach specialising in supporting neurodivergent adults, particularly people with ADHD and AuDHD.My approach combines Occupational Therapy, ADHD coaching, sensory-informed practice and an understanding of how neurodivergence can affect executive functioning, energy, emotional regulation and everyday life.I work with people experiencing ADHD paralysis, procrastination, overwhelm, burnout, difficulties with routines and organisation, sensory differences, and challenges balancing work, relationships and daily responsibilities. I also support people to better understand their neurodivergence following diagnosis or self-identification, and to develop ways of working with their brain rather than continually trying to fit neurotypical expectations. My work is practical, collaborative and neurodiversity-affirming. Rather than trying to make people more productive for the sake of productivity, we look at what is getting in the way, what matters to them, and what changes could make everyday life more manageable and sustainable.Alongside my private practice, I am a Senior Mental Health Occupational Therapist in the NHS. I bring extensive experience working with complex mental health needs and neurodivergence, as well as a particular interest in sensory processing, embodiment and the relationship between our environments, nervous systems and daily occupations. My practice is LGBTQIA+ and queer affirming, and I particularly welcome people who have previously felt misunderstood or poorly served by more traditional approaches to mental health and neurodivergence.

I’m Liz de Mello, occupational therapist and vocational specialist with over 30 years professional experience working with clients who have a wide range of additional needs. From 2018 to 2026 I worked for an NHS adult autism diagnostic service, and I’m well aware how little post-diagnostic guidance is on offer – that is what inspired me to set up my own practice. Being neurodivergent myself, I’m familiar with the barriers and prejudices faced by those with autism, ADHD and associated neurodevelopmental conditions. I am passionate about enabling neurodivergent people to participate fully in mainstream life. We can thrive in almost any setting given appropriate support and necessary adaptations. My aim is to provide holistic autism-specific 1:1 specialist occupational therapy, health coaching & vocational guidance to enable you to live your best life at home, at work – and everywhere else. My own journey as an autistic person navigating the pressures of demanding workplaces (clinics, colleges, schools, prisons, charities & community outreach), and of helping hundreds of neurodivergent clients overcome challenges, has taught me above all that a diagnosis is just a starting point. It can be a springboard to self-understanding, self-compassion, self-advocacy and self-actualisation. My approach is solution-focused and adapted to your unique needs. For example we may focus on overcoming everyday or workplace difficulties; or energy management and how to avoid burnout; or managing sensory issues; or dealing with change – starting work or uni, retiring, moving home, starting a family or embarking on a new relationship. Do you have difficult time communicating your needs to medical professionals, or within the family, at work or in education? We can work on strategies to ensure you get the right kind of support, to enable you to form realistic, achievable plans for a positive future. I’m based in the North of England but work remotely on a one to one basis with clients who live anywhere in the UK, by video call or phone.

I support people who feel overwhelmed, exhausted or stuck, particularly those who have tried to improve their health and wellbeing before but struggle to make lasting changes. As a life and wellbeing coach, I have particular experience in working with neurodiverse clients, including ADHD and autistic clients. My approach is compassionate, non-judgemental and sensitive, with care and respect for different ways of thinking, processing and moving through the world.I also offer structured, short-term coaching for navigating challenges at work, and can provide sessions for people receiving support through Access to Work.Alongside my coaching training, I bring a background in medicine and holistic wellbeing, having previously qualified as a medical doctor before moving into preventive wellbeing.

Hi there, I’m Kes. I am a therapist and supervisor specialising in practising with autistic and ADHD clients online. Many clients prefer to attend sessions from the comfort of their own home. I like to create a relaxed environment, where you can be yourself and bring a cup of tea and a blanket if it helps you feel comfortable. Pets are welcome if they support you to feel emotionally safe.I like to spark genuine, enjoyable conversations with my clients where you can talk about what matters to you. We might laugh. We might cry. We might even sing, make art, create a ritual, or do whatever helps you to explore and honour your feelings, emotions, and process change and growth.I invite all aspects of my clients to the sessions. This may mean drawing on your personal strengths, your cultural heritage, your family wisdom (surely, there is some!), and possibly your own philosophical thinking, sense of spirituality, wonder, awe, or joy. Joy is often so important to reclaim for neurodivergent people, as it builds our resilience. Joy may have been squashed down, masked and hidden away. If so it’s time to let it out.You see therapy is not only about struggles. It’s also about celebrations. As a counsellor, I see myself in the role of facilitator (someone who eases/assists your process of personal development) rather than an expert on fixing you. I don’t think anyone needs fixing. We just need time to reflect, get in touch with ourselves, and receive the genuine consideration, care and kindness of another – even a well-trained stranger who might just be your therapist for a while (i.e. me).Whilst my approach is highly-validating, I can also be gently challenging, encouraging you to be your own best therapist, advocate and champion. Many of us start therapy as victims and survivors. Many of us leave feeling more whole, accepting our imperfections and even accepting the unacceptable things we’ve been through and that life has strewn in our paths. Therapy is an opportunity to define yourself by your strengths and aptitudes, honour and care for your vulnerabilities, and free yourself, little by little, from the weight of the world on your shoulders. Please note, my practice is critically-engaged and I am well aware that there are many systemic and structural issues that impact wellbeing. Therefore, I cannot guarantee outcomes from therapy. Instead, I welcome you to attend sessions for as long as you feel they are beneficial to you.
