My name is Steph and I know that choosing a counsellor can be a daunting experience and it is important to feel reassured and to be able to feel you can connect with your counsellor. Here is a little bit about me, and who I am.I am a down to earth, fun and quirky person. I see the best in people and understand that we have all come from different places in life, for this sometimes we are judged or treated differently. I was born in the south and have since moved to Northumberland. I love the area, the people and find the atmosphere and sea very calming. I enjoy walking my dogs on the beach, arts and crafts, reading and coffee!I strive to provide a safe and nurturing space for individuals to explore their mental health and well-being. I use an integrated counselling approach which combines various therapeutic techniques to support a journey towards healing and self-discovery. An integrative counselling approach means you are the centre of your journey. It is mainly a person centered approach with the use of other techniques from various modalities, these help to broaden the way in which we can explore your thoughts, worries and emotions. Working integratively is beneficial as there is no ‘one box fits all’ element with counselling as we are all different and unique, being integrative makes counselling adaptable and suitable for everyone.I am a highly skilled and experienced integrative counsellor, specialising in working with adults and adolescents with anxiety, depression, abuse, and trauma. Through my combined integrative approach, I am compassionate and can build trusting, strong and supportive relationships with my clients, supporting them through their journey of development and growth. Using an integrative approach, I combine a person centred therapy with CBT, Psychodynamic, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis modalities. Together these provide a practical problem-solving approach and puts the client at the centre of their journey of overcoming issues. The focus of our work together is to identify issues, look at practical steps and strategies, and to change negative patterns in thinking and behaviour. My goal is for my clients to be autonomous and achieve their own personal and professional goals, including their mental health, wellbeing and quality of life. I enable my clients to feel relaxed and able to explore their issues, thoughts and emotions without feeling judged enabling them to explore their thoughts and feelings, working towards positive and long-term growth.I have personal and professional experience of ADHD and autism and understand the unique challenges that can impact day to day living, varying from struggles with time management, focussing and attention. I can adapt sessions and incorporate different skills and tools into the sessions to aid the client and to help the client develop skills to cope with their thoughts, emotions and improvement in relationships that can work for them and their unique ability.I have a deep understanding of trauma, including childhood trauma, sexual abuse, domestic violence, PTSD and working with a combination of deep issues. I can work with visualisation techniques, grounding methods, skills to help with panic attacks and disassociation. I recognise that it can be sometimes nerve-wracking and embarrassing to talk about past or current trauma, but I always remain non-judgemental, open and welcoming.I have worked within the charity support sector for 10 years. I have gained lots of experience providing helpline support and as a counsellor. I have many skills and I have worked with many differnt types of people, genders and circumstances. Here is a small example of what I can work with:AnxietyDepressionGriefAngerSexual violence and abuseChild abuseIntimacy issuesAutism/ADHD/NeurodivergenceLGBTQ+Self harm/SuicideLong term health conditionsChronic painMigraineI am a qualified integrative counsellor. I’m Rebecca Wilkinson, an integrative counsellor offering therapy in Plymouth and online across the UK. I work with adults who feel overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or like they’ve spent years trying to fit into a world that never quite made sense.I have lived experience of ADHD, having been diagnosed later in life. Like many late-diagnosed adults, I spent years wondering why things that seemed straightforward for other people often felt so much harder for me. Receiving a diagnosis didn’t change who I was, but it gave me a framework for understanding myself with more compassion. That experience continues to shape the way I work as a therapist. My approach is neurodivergent-affirming, collaborative, and tailored to you as an individual. I don’t believe therapy should be about trying to make you appear more neurotypical or teaching you to mask more effectively. Instead, it’s a space to explore your experiences, understand yourself more deeply, and find ways of living that work with your brain rather than constantly against it.Many of the people I work with have ADHD, are exploring whether they might be neurodivergent, or are navigating the impact of anxiety, burnout, emotional overwhelm, rejection sensitivity, people-pleasing, low self-esteem, or grief. Whether you’ve recently been diagnosed, have suspected for years that you’re neurodivergent, or simply know that life feels harder than it seems to for other people, you’re welcome.I offer therapy in person from my practice in Plymstock, Plymouth, and online throughout the UK. I aim to create a calm, accepting space where you don’t have to explain away your differences or hide parts of yourself. You can show up exactly as you are.

I am a Maudsley‑trained consultant psychiatrist and DIT psychotherapist based in London. I offer focused, insight‑oriented therapy for stress, anxiety, depression, burnout and relationship difficulties. My work is autism‑affirming and non‑pathologising, with clear communication, steady pacing and a therapeutic space that feels inclusive and supportive. It is informed by both professional experience and personal understanding of autism. I value each client’s unique communication style and lived experience, fully embracing autism as a valid neurotype.I provide Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), an evidence‑based psychodynamic therapy recommended by NICE for depression. DIT is typically a 16 session model, offering a focused and time‑limited framework, with scope to extend if needed. It helps you understand how past experiences and relational patterns shape current emotional distress, supporting healthier ways of relating and coping. I completed my DIT training at the Anna Freud Centre. Many people come to me when they feel stuck in repeating emotional or relational patterns, or when previous approaches have not reached the root of their distress. My background as a psychiatrist means the work is careful, thoughtful and grounded in a thorough understanding of mental health. It allows me to bring a level of rigour and depth that supports clients to make sense of complex emotional patterns without feeling pathologised. I offer a clear, in depth, compassionate formulation and a structured therapeutic process that supports meaningful, lasting change.I work regularly with autistic adults and offer therapy that is adapted to autistic communication and processing styles. Sessions are structured and collaborative, where clients feel safe and comfortable exploring various areas such as identity, masking, overwhelm, autistic burnout, relationships, workplace challenges and the impact of past misunderstanding or invalidation. Therapy is tailored to each client’s needs, with shared decision‑making and a pace that feels manageable and supportive.I welcome and support autistic adults at all stages of their journey; whether newly diagnosed, self‑identified, exploring the possibility of autism, or diagnosed many years ago and seeking a space to understand themselves more fully. Sessions are available online across the UK and in person in Blackheath Village, London. Please note that in this setting I offer psychotherapy only and do not provide medical assessments or medication treatment.

Hi, I’m Katie – a neuroinclusion coach, and AuDHD myself.I work with neurodivergent adults who look sorted on paper and feel like they’re holding it together with sticky tape and adrenaline. People who’ve read the books, tried every app, reflected endlessly – and still find the simple stuff (emails, admin, getting started) takes far more out of them than it seems like it should. If you’ve ever thought “I’m smart and I’m trying so hard, so what’s wrong with me?” – my answer is almost always: nothing’s wrong with you. It’s your systems. And hacks don’t help solve that; for a system that works we’ve got to understand your specific brain, tools and circumstances. Luckily I’m a nerd and anthropologist by training who LOVES getting granular :pMy main offering is the Mind Manual Programme: six sessions where we build a personalised ‘recipe book’ for your unique brain. Not a generic curriculum – a living document, full of the specific tools, patterns and strategies that actually work for you, which you keep and build on for years. Think of it like a well-loved cookbook that falls open at the pages you need most.Every goal we set is an experiment, never a test. If something doesn’t work, that’s not failure – it’s useful data about your brain. There’s no shame here, no masking, and no pretending to be someone you’re not.I coach with warmth, humour, and a deep respect for how genuinely hard this can be – alongside proper rigour and training. I won’t hand you neurotypical advice dressed up as inclusion. I won’t judge if you dial in in your PJs or call from your car. I’ll help you understand your own brain well enough to work with it instead of fighting it.Qualifications: ILM Level 5 in Coaching and Mentoring, EMCC registered, with further qualifications in Specific Learning Difficulties, Autism in Adults, and TEAM-CBT. All sessions are online, so we can work together wherever you are.Curious? Have a look at katieleefe.com, or get in touch for a starter call. I’d love to meet you.

You might have arrived here after a recent diagnosis, or perhaps you’re starting to wonder whether neurodivergence could help explain things you’ve been experiencing for a long time. Many people I work with describe a mix of relief, confusion, and overwhelm at this stage. You might be rethinking your past, noticing patterns more clearly, or questioning how you’ve been coping up until now. You may also feel tired from masking, unsure of who you are underneath it, or uncertain about what support would actually help.I’m a Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years’ experience working across NHS and independent settings. I have a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from University College London, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. Alongside my broader clinical work, I have a longstanding interest in and extensive experience of supporting neurodivergent adults, including autistic adults and people with ADHD or dyslexia. In therapy, I aim to offer a space that feels calm, respectful, and adapted to you. That might mean going at a slower pace, being flexible in how we communicate, or thinking together about what makes therapy feel accessible and useful for you. There’s no expectation to present yourself in a particular way.We might work together to:– Make sense of your diagnosis or self-understanding – Explore identity, masking, and what feels authentic to you – Understand burnout, overwhelm, or shutdown – Find ways of managing day-to-day demands more sustainably – Build self-compassion and reduce self-criticism – Process past traumaI also have a specialist interest in perimenopause and menopause, and how hormonal changes can intersect with neurodivergence. For some people, this stage of life can bring a noticeable shift in attention, sensory sensitivity, emotional regulation, or capacity to cope with everyday demands. Difficulties that were previously manageable can start to feel overwhelming, and in some cases this is the point at which people begin to question whether they may be neurodivergent. I aim to support you in making sense of these changes in a way that feels grounded, informed, and compassionate. My approach is collaborative and integrative. I draw on a wide range of therapeutic models, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches, tailoring therapy to meet your particular needs, goals and preferences.Alongside my neurodiversity-focused work, I also have extensive experience supporting people with anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, low self-esteem, grief, insomnia, and life transitions. This broader background can be helpful when difficulties overlap or feel complex.Starting therapy, especially if you’ve spent a long time feeling misunderstood, can feel like a big step. My aim is to offer a space where you can feel safe and heard, and where we can gradually build a shared understanding of what’s going on for you and what might help.

I am a late diagnosed, neurodivergent mother of two children and an accredited psychotherapist.I have been practicing for 13+ years in primary care talking therapies and private sector mental health. I am accredited by the BABCP and also practice Compassion Focused Therapy and EMDR. Since embarking on my own neurodivergent questioning journey six years ago, I have spent countless hours hyperfocusing and researching everything there is to know about neurodiversity and how best to adapt therapy to be neuro-affirming and effective. As a detail-oriented, creative thinker, who is able to spot patterns and relay information with clarity, I have successfully supported people within the neurodivergent community with developing self-acceptance, self-compassion and move towards living in alignment with their wants and needs.I support people throughout burnout, work-related stress, parental stress and overcoming a harsh inner critic. My stance is holistic, in that I acknowledge that our thoughts, our neurology, our hormones and our health contribute to our overall feelings of wellbeing. Together we will look to see how we can help you to find your rhythm and heal where needed.
