AG & Co Health provides private autism and ADHD assessments for children, young people and adults. We have clinics in Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Telford and South Croydon, and we also offer online appointments for anyone who cannot travel to one of them.
Most people who come to us have been waiting a long time, or have been told they do not meet the threshold for an NHS referral. Appointments with us are usually available within two to four weeks and no GP referral is needed. We run evening and weekend appointments alongside weekday ones, which helps if you cannot take time off work or take a child out of school.
Autism assessments follow NICE guidance and use the ADI-R and the ADOS-2. The process begins with a free initial consultation, where we talk through what you have noticed and whether a full assessment is the right step at all. From there you complete background questionnaires, attend a clinical interview and an observational session, and the findings are reviewed against DSM-5 criteria. You then have a feedback session and receive a full written report.
The report is written so it can be used. Families use ours for school, for EHCP applications and for onward referrals. Adults use them for workplace adjustments, university support and for discussions with their GP.
We also assess for ADHD, and we assess for both autism and ADHD together where that is the question. Co-occurring presentations are common and we look at both rather than assessing one and setting the other aside.
Fees are £1,500 for an autism assessment (child or adult), £750 for a child ADHD assessment and £500 for an adult ADHD assessment. Each price includes the assessment, the written report and the feedback session. There are no separate report or follow-up charges. The initial consultation is free and there is no obligation to book anything afterwards.
We are open seven days a week, 9am to 8pm.
Please note this is a private, self-funded service.
