Hi, I’m Sophie, a BABCP-accredited CBT therapist and Registered Mental Health Nurse with extensive experience supporting children, teenagers and adults.
I’m particularly interested in neurodivergence, trauma and the things that can make life feel harder than it seems to be for everyone else. Maybe you’ve spent years feeling like you’re getting things wrong, wondering why everyday things feel so difficult, or trying to keep everything together on the outside while struggling underneath. Perhaps you understand what you’re supposed to do, but putting it into practice feels like a completely different story.
I want to help you make sense of why things feel the way they do, understand what’s happening beneath the surface and work out what might actually help. Therapy isn’t about giving you a list of things you already know you should be doing. It’s about understanding what’s getting in the way, finding approaches that work for you and figuring out what you want life to look like when things feel different.
Whether you want to feel less overwhelmed, stop being so hard on yourself, feel more confident in who you are or simply get through the day without everything feeling like such a battle, we’ll work together to find a way forward that feels right for you.
My approach is warm, down-to-earth and neuroaffirmative. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you start, and you don’t need to pretend you’re coping when you’re not. You can show up as you are, and we’ll take it from there.
