I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, trained at a doctoral level in numerous evidence-based therapeutic approaches and models. I am registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a chartered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
Based in Staffordshire & Cheshire, I have over 20 years+ experience working in the NHS, education, private and third sectors.
While in my part time employed role I provide diagnostic assessments for Autism for children, in my private practice I currently intentionally focus on needs-led therapeutic interventions for adults rather than diagnostic work.
I also offer tailored psychological consultations for parents, caregivers and professionals who want specialist guidance in supporting neurodivergent children or adults.
APPROACH
Neurodiversity is a very broad spectrum. For individuals who have spent years exploring the diagnostic system, being told they may not meet the threshold for a formal diagnosis can feel deeply invalidating.
Others may receive an Autism or ADHD diagnosis, but the lack of meaningful post diagnostic support often leaves them feeling isolated and uncertain, wondering what they are supposed to do next.
My approach is to offer expert, needs-led assessments, formulation and therapeutic interventions, independent of diagnoses.
A formulation offers a detailed, collaborative, holistic understanding of all the factors that led to you to seek support –identifying the difficulties and challenges you are facing, as well as your strengths and resources.
From here, we prioritise clear goals or outcomes to work towards, with a clear plan that is tailored to your needs.
