I’m Dr Emma Rigby, a Clinical Psychologist and Director of I.N. Therapy Berkshire, an independent specialist psychology practice based in Binfield, Berkshire.
I specialise in comprehensive autism and ADHD assessments for children, young people and adults, helping individuals and families develop a clearer understanding of their experiences, strengths and support needs.
My approach is compassionate, neuroaffirming and evidence-informed. I recognise that neurodivergence can present differently from person to person, and that experiences such as masking, emotional overwhelm, executive functioning difficulties and differences in attention or sensory processing may not always be immediately recognised or understood.
I believe that a meaningful assessment should offer much more than a diagnostic outcome. My assessments bring together developmental history, individual experiences, clinical assessment and information from relevant settings to develop a detailed understanding of each person’s profile. Where appropriate, assessments involve multidisciplinary collaboration and include a comprehensive report with practical, individualised recommendations.
Alongside autism and ADHD assessments, I offer cognitive and learning needs assessments, independent psychological assessments, parent consultations and focused support for neurodivergent adults and families. Support is available for those exploring possible neurodivergence as well as those who already have a diagnosis.
My wider clinical experience includes working with trauma, anxiety, emotional regulation and the ways in which neurodevelopmental differences can interact with mental health and wellbeing.
At I.N. Therapy Berkshire, my aim is to provide a welcoming, thoughtful and collaborative assessment experience in which people feel listened to, understood and supported.
I welcome enquiries from adults, parents and professionals seeking independent autism and ADHD assessments in Berkshire and surrounding areas.
