I am a neurodivergent clinical psychologist, and I specialise in working with late-identified neurodivergent adults, whether you’re considering formal assessment, or therapy sessions to make sense of your experiences, or more practical coping strategies. I work a lot with people who had difficult experiences in childhood, and people who are living with chronic health issues, and I have a particular interest in work around parenting and everything that might bring up for you.
My main approach is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, finding ways to live well and in line with your values even though life may be hard in ways you can’t control. I also use attachment theory, where it’s helpful to understand your experiences through the lens of the ways you were parented and what that taught you about yourself. I have a background in mindfulness and particularly in ways to adapt it for people who find traditional mindfulness practices inaccessible.
As well as screening, formal assessments and therapy, I work as a supervisor, particularly with neurodivergent therapists, and I offer teaching and training.
I work online with people anywhere in the UK.
