Giselle Hope
Biography
I am a Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol) and HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist with over 25 years’ experience in the assessment and support of neurodivergent individuals in education, employment, and health settings.
My practice specialises in the diagnostic assessment of Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs), including dyslexia, dyspraxia/DCD, and dyscalculia, alongside ADHD and autism screening. I work primarily with adults and post-16 learners, with a particular focus on those navigating higher education, professional training, and public sector employment.
I believe that assessments should be clear, respectful, and genuinely useful. My approach is evidence-based, person-centred, and fully aligned with SASC guidelines, ensuring that every report meets the standards required for DSA (Disabled Students’ Allowance) applications, workplace adjustments, and academic accommodations.
Each assessment includes a comprehensive background review, standardised testing, and an accessible report that outlines both strengths and areas of difficulty, as well as practical, tailored recommendations. I also provide guidance to education providers and employers to help them implement effective support strategies.
All assessments can be conducted remotely across the UK, making the process flexible and accessible. My work is grounded in inclusion, clarity, and advocacy, ensuring people not only understand their neurodivergence but feel empowered by it.
